    Ogechi Nwonye-Bernard is a Social Entrepreneur and an environmental advocate focusing on solving the problem of improper waste management and the lack of recycling culture evident in communities in Enugu State. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the prestigious University of Nigeria and a Master in International Law & Diplomacy from the University of Lagos and has expertise and work experience in the field of waste recycling and Advocacy in the past 7 years. She is an Alumni of the
    Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, an initiative of the US Mission in Nigeria, A Leap Africa Fellow, and a Women-preneur Alumni of the Access Bank Initiative. Ogechi is the founder and CEO of Eco-Cyclers, a youth-led waste recycling with implemented initiatives that promote environmental education in schools, on green skills, entrepreneurship, and community sensitization approach to reduce the huge amount of plastic waste littered in our environment and contributing to land degradation and air pollution. Her innovative idea in recycling has seen her championing ways to tackle the issues of waste disposal emanating from citizens’ lack of knowledge on waste handling and behavioral patterns in society and so far has reached over 5 communities in Enugu. She is an outstanding leader driving change through systemic efforts, consistency, and zeal to make a difference in the waste sector and has received several recognitions and partnerships with other leading NGOs in Environmental Sustainability in Nigeria while driving transformation and contributing meaningfully towards economic growth in creating social impact especially for, young people and women. Through her TedX talk, Ogechi wants to share her inspiring story with other young people on the practical aspects of improving recycling culture for community development and innovative solutions for environmental challenges while tasking young people to lead in taking action for a greener environment for future generations.

    Simisola Gbadamosi is a 13-year-old with a passion for creativity and community. Proudly Nigerian, Simisola’s journey into the Creative Arts began at a young age, where her love for baking sparked her entrepreneurial spirit. From the age of 3, she began honing the skill of baking, which culminated in the remarkable feat of winning the Best Creative Kid Entrepreneur Award at the Bella Africana Ace Awards at age 6.
    Simisola is a voracious reader who has left an indelible mark on every school she has attended, breaking reading records and inspiring her peers with her love for literature. Her penchant for storytelling led her to explore the world of writing, where she crafts captivating short stories and poems that ignite the imagination. In 2021, Simisola’s journey took an exciting turn when she was selected for the lead voice role in “Iwájú,” an animated series produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Kugali Media, in collaboration with Disney+. It is set in an Afrofuturist world, with the title roughly translating to “the future” in Yoruba. This groundbreaking series marks several significant firsts in animation history. Notably, it is Disney Animation Studios’ first original long-form animated series, a departure from their typical projects. It’s also the first time Disney collaborates with African storytellers for an animated series set in Africa, and a celebration of Black African characters written and created by an African team. In this groundbreaking series, she portrays Tola, a young girl hailing from a wealthy island, embarking on a thrilling adventure alongside her best friend, Kole, a self-taught tech expert. Together, they unravel the secrets and navigate the dangers lurking within their disparate worlds. Off-screen, Simisola cherishes time reading, drawing, cooking, playing the violin and spending time with loved ones.

    Founder/Presiding Director, David Folaranmi Foundation.

    David Folaranmi is a Christian, a fervent lover and follower of Jesus Christ.
    A recipient of several awards at home and abroad, David is a qualified Economist, a Psychologist, a Public Speaker, a Writer and a Certified Counsellor with specialty in addiction.
    He is a youth development strategist with a passion for teenagers and young adults, a mental health advocate and a substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery professional.
    David Folaranmi earned his Economics degree in 2007 from Covenant University, a diploma in International Management from the Institute of Business Technology in Brunel University, London and holds a master’s degree in applied social psychology. David has been trained by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on substance abuse prevention.
    After diligently serving his nation for almost 10 years in public service, Mr. David retired honourably to pursue his passion which lies in counselling, psychology, mental health issues, understanding behavioral patterns, addiction counselling and rehabilitation with an aim to provide a better life for youth and young adults.
    He specializes in performance improvement, mentoring, coaching and training of individuals and businesses.
    David is a man who possesses a rare and exceptional ability to think analytically with a
    passion for drug abuse prevention. He is the project director of the Live Free Initiative
    and a strong advocate for drug abuse awareness and drug use policy reforms. As a highly sort after speaker,
    a trained life coach who is well known among his peers as ‘The Peculiar Man’, David Folaranmi seats on the board
    of several progressive and developmental organizations in Nigeria and in Africa. The founder and presiding
    director of the David Folaranmi Foundation, an organization with the sole aim of creating a better world by putting humanity first, David is the executive director of the
    Live Free Renewal Centre, a faith based drug abuse and addiction recovery facility with branches in Abuja and
    Enugu State. He is a member of the International Society of Substance use Professionals
    (ISSUP), ‘Community intervention network for drugs’ (CIND), ‘Association of Advocates against Alcohol Harm in Nigeria’ (ASAAHN), ‘Drug Free World’, ‘National Drug Law Enforcement
    Agency’(NDLEA) ‘War Against Drug Abuse Ambassador’(WADA), ‘ International Substance Abuse and
    Addiction Coalition’ (ISAAC) to name a few.
    A value adding enthusiast who is passionate about helping others as it is evident in his daily life. He has been a
    guest on several Media outlets both home and abroad. Mr. David Folaranmi has also been featured in several anti-drug abuse campaigns and documentaries, and in June 2022 he was invited to the ‘Presidential Villa’ in Abuja on
    the occasion of the ‘United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ where he shared
    his experience on drug use, his recovery journey and the work he is doing now. In February 2022 a Barbados
    based media outlet, ‘Divine Purpose Magazine’, featured David along side other distinguished world changers
    for his stellar contribution to drug abuse prevention in Nigeria.
    In October 2022, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) sponsored
    Mr. David’s ‘Participation Recovery Support Training’ organised by the Colombo
    Drug Advisory Program’(DAP). His completion of this training certifies him as a Drug
    abuse Recovery Support Services Professional: one of only three persons to be certified in the entire country
    at the time. In February 2023, David Folaranmi Foundation (DFF) partnered with the ‘North
    East Development Commission Education Endowment Fund’ (NEDC-EEF) in training one hundred and fifty youth as peer
    advocates in Gombe State.
    Mr. David was the lead facilitator at the 3-week program. In 2024, David Folaranmi completed the Training of Practitioner on the Universal Prevention Curriculum by the Colombo plan Drug Advisory Program (DAP). This training
    certifies him as a substance abuse prevention practitioner.
    As a seasoned consultant, Mr. David has gone on to facilitate several other trainings for religious leaders, executives in the private and public sector and other organizations. After completing a successful and rigorous training David Folaranmi is now a certified member of the John Maxwell team.
    David Folaranmi has attended several trainings from institutions at home and abroad on mental health, addictions, counselling and leadership, including trainings from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa Oklahoma his most recent is from the University of Washington where he embarked on a training on global mental health.
    David Folaranmi is married to Mrs. Nnenna Temi Folaranmi and their union is blessed with 3 beautiful daughters.

    Veekee James is an award-winning fashion designer, gospel conveyor, and a philanthropist. She is the founder of Veekee James Limited consisting of sub brands that produces different fashion designs from custom made/bespoke wears to ready-to-wear designs. She is the creative director of VEEKEE JAMES, VEEKEE JAMES MAN, and ERIKAN brands respectively. She has shown her passion for helping others through her foundation, The Veekee James Foundation and the Veekee James empowerment gala that was held in October 2022. 

    Veekee James has been a vocational entrepreneur since age 8, when she knitted wears to sell in her local community and has explored numerous successful creative ventures over the years.

    Raised in Lagos; inspired by a mother who is a tailor and raised young trainees, Veekee had the opportunity to learn sewing. Holding on to this resource, her love for fashion developed naturally as she evolved to become an award-winning fashion designer. She is fueled by her entrepreneurial spirit and her passion for creativity and originality, which are the forces that drive the establishment of her globally accessible luxury brands, empowering bold and unique designs across continents.

    She is well known for her specialty in sculpting the feminine body in her dresses, creating designs that sets trends. She has won several awards through her talents, award varying from the Designer of the week by Fashions Finest Africa 2023 to her celebrity client, Osas Ighodaro winning the Best Dressed Female at the AMVCA. In 2023, she was awarded the prize for fashion by The Future Awards Africa and was recently announced to be one of Forbes 30 under 30, class of 2024. She has styled several diverse celebrities from different continents, and she is known to be one of Nigeria’s most sought-after Fashion Designer.

    My name is Onuorah Alexander Chijioke. I was born on the 16th of August, 2008. I recently graduated from St. Anthony’s Secondary School, Ikenga in August this year and I am aspiring to study medicine and surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

    I enjoy playing sports like football and table tennis. I also enjoy playing board games. I have an interest in music and I am also learning to play a musical instrument. I took part in the academic competition “Aguata’s Best Student Challenge” of 2023 and I was the 2nd runner-up. 

    I desire to learn how I can contribute to the advancement of the healthcare system through my study of medicine which would enable people to get good medical attention.

    Amarachi Faith Amusi is a distinguished psychologist and community development expert with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. She is a certified Human Resource Manager recognized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and a mediator trained by the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators in Nigeria. Amarachi is also a preliminary member of the Teen Coaches Academy in Australia
    and holds certifications as a children and teenage coach from the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentorship and Coaching Nigeria. With over two decades of experience, Amarachi has dedicated her career to
    empowering teenagers and their families to navigate modern challenges while developing essential skills for future success. Through her annual subscription program, the Growth Clinic, she has positively impacted thousands of teenagers. During her undergraduate studies, Amarachi founded a non-governmental organization aimed at reducing the number of out-of-school girls by providing sponsored access to education. An initiative that has served over 6,000 girls, equipping them with self-development training and essential supplies, such as sanitary kits. Her impact work has attracted sponsorship and partnerships from esteemed
    organizations, including Diamond Bank (now Access Bank), Union Bank, Moment with Mo, Society for Family Health, UTOLF, and the Gusty Foundation. Amarachi has shared her expertise on various local and international platforms, including the Global Mission Network and SHE Boss. Her contributions to the community have earned her several accolades, including the prestigious Niaja Diamond Award from Diamond bank (now Access bank), honour award from Kings Herald, The girl-child voice award and other several awards for her outstanding work. Beyond her direct work with teenagers, Amarachi has expanded her services to support school counseling systems and help individuals transform their ideas into
    reality and also sits as the state Coordinator 100 Women Lobby Group. She is a dedicated pastor, mentor, and coach, as well as a loving wife and mother of four wonderful children. Amarachi currently serves as the Lead Consultant for the Teens-Alike Rediscovery Academy and the Executive Director of the Dazzling Damsels of Virtue Foundation. A Year 8 student in Dubai, Zahra has already made her mark as a Youth Ambassador, SDG champion, and dynamic speaker. Her inspiring journey includes captivating talks on TedEd and becoming one of the youngest speakers at COP28 in Dubai.

    As the youngest keynote speaker at the International Youth Conference in New York, Zahra’s voice resonates globally, empowering young people to take action through education and personal growth. She also runs a thriving international book club with over 1,000 children from 40 countries, fostering discussions on books, SDGs, values, and personal development.

    Elekwa Chima is an outstanding student at Evergreen College, celebrated for his remarkable talents across multiple disciplines, including the arts, mathematics, writing, and sports. A true embodiment of a well-rounded achiever, Chima has garnered impressive recognition on both national and international stages. Notably, he is a gold medallist in the prestigious Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and a bronze medallist in the Global KSF Mathematics Competition, organised by the Association Kangarou Sans Frontières and the International Academy for the Gifted (IAGIFTED). Chima’s commitment to excellence extends beyond academics into impactful community engagement. He played a pivotal role in a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) initiative focused on “No Poverty,” where he and his classmates transformed the life of a young orphan named Amazing Grace. Through their collective efforts, they raised over half a million naira to sustainably fund Grace’s education. Their innovative fundraising strategy involved creating and selling handmade items—such as beaded jewellery, Ankara-covered notebooks, popcorn, and vision boards—during school events. This initiative secured Grace’s future and fostered a culture of empathy and action within the Evergreen College community. As a key figure in this project, Chima honed his skills in teamwork, leadership, project management, and public speaking. His ability to blend academic excellence with creativity and compassion sets him apart as a role model among his peers. Currently serving as the Sports Prefect at Evergreen College, Chima exemplifies perseverance and versatility. Whether excelling in sports, crafting innovative solutions, or C E advocating for social causes, he is dedicated to creating a brighter future for his community and beyond. A gold medallist in the prestigious African Mathematics Olympiad and a bronze medallist in the global KSF competition organised by the Association Kangarou Sans Frontieres and the International Academy for the Gifted (IAGIFTED), Kayla consistently demonstrates her analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Her writing prowess is equally impressive, evidenced by her gold medal win in a national essay competition. Beyond her academic accolades, Kayla is passionately committed to making a meaningful social impact. She spearheaded an initiative focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of “No Poverty,” collaborating with her peers to raise funds for Amazing Grace, a young orphan they encountered while distributing donations in a local slum. During the 2024 Global School Connect Program, she was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award by the Global Educational Consultants, UK, in recognition of her exemplary team coordination and significant contributions.     Beauty Artist. A multiple award winner with a legal & Human Resource
    background. She is also an educator, a change
    maker with impact driven goal.
    A lawyer by profession, however after 6 years of active legal practice &
    4 years as a HR Specialist, her passion and nag for all things creativity
    and organizing led her to birth her company STM Magical Creations
    Ltd 8 years ago. An Event Production & Beauty company in
    Nigeria known for creating detailed event experiences globally. Creating
    events in Ghana, USA, UK & Dubai amongst many others. STM Magical
    Creations was voted Event Planner of the year by the Event Organizers
    and Practitioners Association of Nigeria South East in 2024.

    Undoubtedly passionate about impact, education & positive change not just in the event industry, but generally interested in empowering and equipping creative aspiring professionals, she started STM Magical Creations Event Academy in 2019. The Academy is presently one of the best Event Training Academy’s in Nigeria. She was a senior lecturer teaching Event Management for the Executive Master’s Program at the University of Nigeria Business School in 2020.     Ifeoma holds an LLB in Law from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, an LLM in Intellectual Property Law and currently trying an MBA in Event Management. She’s a loving wife, a mother of four and a lover of God. She was awarded a Ph.D in July 2024 as a Doctor of Philosophy in Event Management at Prowess University, Delaware U.S.A. Such hard work and dedication. She is a consultant for several NGO’s and an educator per excellence.

    In recognition of her contribution to the growth and development of African women, by being an embodiment of hard work, strength, selfless impact, education, inspiration, mentorship, resilience and the spirit of excellence globally. She was awarded the prestigious African Women Achievers Award in August 2024. She is now a member of the African Women Achievers Forum.

    For being a trailblazer, breaking barriers and paving the way for others, she was enrolled as a member and fellow, South African Leadership Society, August 2024.

    In July 2024 her Event Planning company took home the coveted award of Event Planners of the Year 2024, by the Event Organizers and Practitioners Association of Nigeria South East ( EOPANSE)
